Organized by Delta Group and supported by Zhejiang University, “2019 Delta New Power Electronics Technology Seminar" was held from May 23rd to 25th in Jiangsu Wujiang Tongli Lakeview Hotel. During the seminar, a list of 12 scientific research project gainers sponsored and approved by “Delta Power Electronics Science and Education Development Plan” was released. Professor Cai Xu from Shanghai Jiaotong University was awarded the honorary title “Delta Greentech Scholars”, and professor Wang Fei from Shanghai University and associate professor Liang Lin from Huazhong University of Science and Technology won “Delta Greentech Young Scholar Award”.

As Delta founder Mr. Bruce Cheng stressed, based on the core technology of power electronics, Delta continued to invest on innovation of products, improve the efficiency of energy conversion and carbon reduction. From 2010 to 2018, Delta’s products helped save 28.1 billion KWH, about reduction of 15.06 million tons of carbon emission. As Delta President and CEO Mr. Simon Zhang shared, there are four development directions in the future: high voltage megawatt (MEGA Watt), megahertz (MEGA Hz) modularization and micromation, power electronics technology based on new device carborundum (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaN), and digital control of power electronic system. For business development in power electronics fields, the focus is on transportation and IoT industry, intelligent manufacturing and intelligent micro-grid. During the seminar, the guests enjoyed 8K environment documentary “Water with Life in Taiwan” funded by Delta, which was intended to arouse attention to global warming and water resources.
