The charity night screening “8K Projection at the Sun Moon Lake - Converging Greatness” organized by Delta Foundation was held on 10th and 11th of October. The world's largest outdoor 8K projection uses the world’s leading video technology to interpreting humanity and cultural issues. Apart from showing delicate images showcasing Taiwan’s water resources, the projection also incorporates performances of world-class children's choir and dances from the Thau Deer Chase Market Dance Group, touching the heart and bringing amazement to the thousands of audiences present.
The founder of Delta and the chairman of Delta Foundation, Bruce Cheng, also participated in person. He emphasized that the Delta Foundation wishes to raise public awareness to protect the Earth through the presentation of the video. In the past, the Delta foundation had produced a documentary in HD “The Rings of Formosa” in collaboration with the Chinese Public Television, and collaborated with director Bo-Lin Qi on Taiwan’s first documentary film shot from the air, “Beyond Beauty - Taiwan from Above”. Both are shot with the latest video technology and records nature’s beauty and the scar caused by humanity. The documentary “Water with Life in Taiwan” includes the precious images of the droughts in warm winters, the coral bleaching, the disappearance of moss, land subsidence, etc. It records the impact of climate change and human activities on water resources, hoping to raise awareness of the crisis Earth is in through images projected with the latest 8K technology from Delta.
In this charitable event, “8K Projection at the Sun Moon Lake - Converging Greatness”, Delta Foundation created an enjoyable experience from visual, audio and spiritual aspects with three elements of “technology”, “culture” and the “environment”, to convey our dependent relationship with water. Live world-class children's choir presented the famous kipahpah ima, opening this charitable event with the pure sound of the aborigines from heaven. The 8K projection technology allows the audience to experience the sceneries of Taiwan and calls for recognition of the issues we are facing in regard to our water resources. The Thau Deer Chase Market Dance Group also expresses the joy of their people to share the sacred and pure water and their mystical stories of roaming with the deer with their traditional dances. What's more, the projection was carried by a balloon flying 2.5 meter above the water in their performance.
